Terms of service
Effective October 9, 2026
These terms apply when you use TrulyAir, including through ChatGPT or another AI assistant, and when you use trulyair.com. By using TrulyAir you agree to them.
1. What TrulyAir is
TrulyAir provides air quality information on the US EPA Air Quality Index scale, together with the EPA's general health guidance. It is free to use.
2. Information only, not medical advice
TrulyAir is for general information. It is not medical advice and is not an emergency warning service. If you have health concerns, talk to a health care provider. During emergencies such as wildfire smoke events, follow instructions from local authorities.
3. Data accuracy
- Monitor data from the U.S. EPA AirNow program and other networks is preliminary and may change after quality checks.
- Where no monitor is nearby, TrulyAir shows model estimates from the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service. They describe an area of roughly 10 to 45 km and can differ from conditions where you are. TrulyAir labels them as estimates.
- Data can be delayed, unavailable or wrong. We provide it as is, without warranties of any kind.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use TrulyAir to break the law, to overload or disrupt the service, to bypass its security, or to collect its data in bulk.
5. Third-party data and attribution
TrulyAir uses data from U.S. EPA AirNow and its reporting agencies, OpenAQ, the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service via Open-Meteo (CC BY 4.0), and GeoNames. Their terms and licenses apply to their data. Contains modified Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service information; neither the European Commission nor ECMWF is responsible for any use that may be made of it.
6. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, TrulyAir is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the service or its data.
7. Changes and availability
We may change, suspend or stop TrulyAir, and we may update these terms. We will post changes on this page and update the effective date.
